A New Twist to an Intriguing Family History

Barack Obama is a Democratic nominee for 2008 presidential election. He is known as one may be supported not only by African- Americans but even whites. On March 2, 2007, there was news in Baltimore Sun about a research on Obama's ancestors. Here is the news "Many people know that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s father was from Kenya and his mother from Kansas. But an intriguing sliver of his family history has received almost no attention until now: It appears that forebears of his white mother owned slaves, according to genealogical research and census records."
A researcher, William Addams Reitwiesner, has worked on this issue whether is true. He has concluded that both great, great, great, great grandfather and grand mother of Obama have owned slaves. Now this is a question that if Obama with this background can be successful in election. The researcher also claims that Obama's root I not from Africa, because he is grown in east Asia and Hawaii and then has educated in Colombia and Harvard universities, and now by this background, how he would be able to attract blacks and repair the past, because as one of observers of this news has given the comment "Obama himself owes reparation" because his ancestors were slave owners.
Analysis
The first thing that may come to mind is that destruction of personality in US while an election will be conducted is not newly issue, particularly if nominee is black. Many of those who have written comment on this news either are pro-republicans or racist, because they have used very abusive words not only against Obama but also H. Clinton, as another Democrats' nominee, and called her "a woman who could care less about American citizens in her egotistic dreams of being the first female president."
In our country also there was such debate about many our politicians. The fact that in such a competition no one thinks about how much this man is powerful in terms of politics, economics and other issues thereon a beurocratman should be very skillful and practical.
I think there will be no remedy for this topic, unless the views on changes and every one looks on that as service not monopoly.
